Everything you need to know
What Happens at Church

We know that getting to know new people and going to a new church for the first time can be a little nerve racking. Therefore, we want to make sure that your first visit to our Church is a really enjoyable and comfortable one! Below is all the information you'll need to plan your first visit. Take a look and feel free to ask questions below!

Our Meetings

Here at Break O Day Anglican, we have a St Helens Service with our kids’ program (KINGDOM KIDS) and a St Mary’s service, these run every Sunday. We also have a monthly service at Pyengana on the last Sunday of the month. We would love for you to visit which ever meeting suits you best. For more information on our services, click here.

What Can I Expect?

What is a Church Service Like?

Our services are generally about 60-75 minutes in length. Meetings generally begin with two songs - song lyrics are up on the screen for all but feel free to join in with praise however you feel most comfortable. We also have two passages from the Bible read for us and the Minister speaks to them. To finish, we normally have a time of prayer led from the front and a few more songs. We regularly have communion in our services and we always stick around for some food and fellowship together afterwards.

Can I Come if....?

We understand that coming to church for the first time can be nerve racking, especially when you don't know what to expect. Further, sometimes church is portrayed as a place where only good 'religious' people go. We want to break this stereotype, because it is simply not true. Jesus himself said that he has come to help those who are not perfect. At Break O Day, we are a church of broken people gathering around and learning from our Saviour Jesus. It doesn't matter who you are, or what you have done we would love to have you in our Church Family.

What About my Children?

We love having Children join us in all meetings. Jesus said "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them" (Matthew 19:14). If you have Children, they are very welcome to join us at any service! Our St Helen’s service is particularly family friendly, including a kid’s song during the service and our Kingdom Kids program during school term.
